Two presentations of the Geolearning chair at JDS 2025

Mike Pereira and Thomas Romary (Mines Paris — PSL) presented their work during the 56th Statistics Days, organized by the SFDS from June 2 to 6, 2025 on the Saint-Charles Campus of Aix-Marseille University. Their presentations focused respectively on spatio-temporal modeling on Riemannian manifolds by stochastic partial differential equations and modeling of non-stationary random fields by deformation of space obtained by deep learning techniques.

Conference on stochastic weather generators

The Geolearning Chair is contributing to the organization of the conference on Stochastic Weather Generators, which will be held in Grenoble from December 2nd to 4th, 2025. This international workshop aims to explore cutting-edge methods and emerging challenges for simulating weather variables: precipitation, temperatures, etc.

Geolearning in the spotlight at the Spatial Statistics conference

Researchers from the Geolearning Chair will be honored at the next international Spatial Statistics conference, which will be held from July 15 to 18, 2025, in the Netherlands.

First seminar of the Geolearning chair

The Geolearning Chair held its first working seminar from March 31 to April 3, 2025, at Villa Clythia in Fréjus. The seminar brought together researchers, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows involved in the Chair to discuss ongoing scientific projects, as well as visiting academics from Sorbonne University, AgroParisTech, Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy), and the University of Lausanne (Switzerland).
