At the 25th actuaries' congress, the Geolearning chair will host a workshop dedicated to extreme weather events
Denis Allard was a guest speaker at the conference M4E “Mathematics for the Planet Earth” which was held at Politecnico Milano on November 11 and 12. On this occasion he presented the work carried out within the Geolearning chair, in particular recent work on stochastic modeling for the generation of synthetic weather conditions. The Geolearning chair held a scientific day at Mines Paris – PSL on April 8, 2026. All the supported projects were presented there, as well as emerging challenges.
The Geolearning Chair is contributing to the organization of the conference on Stochastic Weather Generators, which will be held in Grenoble from December 2nd to 4th, 2025. This international workshop aims to explore cutting-edge methods and emerging challenges for simulating weather variables: precipitation, temperatures, etc.
