Two presentations of the Geolearning chair at JDS 2025
Mike Pereira and Thomas Romary presented their work at the last Statistics Days, organized by the SFDS.
The Geolearning Chair is contributing to the organization of the conference on Stochastic Weather Generators, which will be held in Grenoble from December 2nd to 4th, 2025. This international workshop aims to explore cutting-edge methods and emerging challenges in simulating weather variables: precipitation, temperature, etc. This event is fully aligned with the Chair's scientific strategy, which contributes to this theme through several projects, such as the " Statistical precipitation models modeling droughts and intense precipitation " and "Stochastic precipitation generator over the whole of France" ) and the publication “A multivariate and space-time stochastic weather generator using a latent Gaussian framework"

Researchers from the Geolearning Chair will be honored at the next international Spatial Statistics conference, which will be held from July 15 to 18, 2025, in the Netherlands.
The Geolearning Chair held its first working seminar from March 31 to April 3, 2025, at Villa Clythia in Fréjus. The seminar brought together researchers, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows involved in the Chair to discuss ongoing scientific projects, as well as visiting academics from Sorbonne University, AgroParisTech, Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy), and the University of Lausanne (Switzerland).
